Aced Book Blurb:
Ace Locke is Hollywood’s hottest action hero. Women across the globe fling their panties in his direction, but Ace isn’t interested in those—he’s more of a boxer briefs kind of guy. Specifically, those of the nearly naked male model on a billboard he drives past every day.
Though he recently made headlines for his public coming out, Ace is wary about pursuing a relationship, fearing what the court of public opinion will do to his career. But there’s something in the model’s expression that intrigues him and has him wondering what if?
Dylan Prescott just scored his biggest modeling campaign yet. One that has him plastered all over L.A. in not much more than what he was born with. And when he’s cast in Ace’s latest blockbuster, it puts him in close proximity to his ultimate fantasy.
Outwardly confident, Dylan has no problem with his sexuality or his pretty-boy looks and uses both to his advantage to get what he wants. And what he wants is the impossible—Ace Locke.
Aced Review:
Okay, let me start out by saying that Aced is not really a stand-alone book. It reads like one all the way til the end but there is a cliffhanger so don’t expect everything wrapped up nice and pretty at the end of the story. The sort of took off a fraction of a point for me in terms of the review. Only because I really don’t think their story was done and I HATE waiting for ‘book two’ but it is supposed to be out in a month so I will just sit here and stalk Amazon until it comes out!
Ace Locke is a sexy Hollywood star with an unnatural obsession for a billboard model. He drives by it as often as he can and get sucked in by a hot model in leather and skimpy briefs. He has just recently come out to the public as gay but is terrified about actually pursuing a guy for fear of what the press with do/say about the whole thing. He thinks he is better off just stalking the billboard model and fantasizing about him in bed.
Dylan Prescott, billboard model turned newbie actor, shows up on the set of Ace’s newest production. They don’t get off to the best of starts but there seems to be some sort of camaraderie and a decent amount of heat between them. Ace doesn’t know for sure that Dylan is gay but the two eventually start to tiptoe around each other and find that they actually enjoy each other’s company in addition to the insane attraction they feel for each other.
The two have to be super sneaky and secretive about seeing each other. Dylan is patient and understanding of Ace’s situation but Ace desperately wants to reach out and grab onto a real relationship. He is just terrified to do it. They find creative ways to be together and I just loved their budding relationship. There is a TON of heat to this book. Like seriously…scorchingly hot chemistry. But it is incredibly well balanced with the feelings they are developing for one another. It is an emotional and physical connection that just leaps out and grabs you.
You would think (being the newbie actor) that Dylan would be more unsure of himself but he seems to be the confident go getting one in the relationship. Ace, hotshot movie star, is much more timid…often afraid of saying or doing the wrong thing. I loved seeing him grow in this book and by the end of the book these guys were perfect.
UNTIL THERE IS A CLIFF HANGING ENDING! Grrr…I was not ready for this book to end and now I need to stalk Amazon for a month for the next one!
I highly recommend you read Aced by Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine. However maybe you should wait til the next one comes out so you can read that one as soon as you are finished! Oh, and don’t plan on getting anything accomplished at all while you read this book. You will not want to put it down!
